Why do I have a $5.50 charge on my card?2024-10-21T13:51:30-05:00

When you see a transaction for $5.50 after using a Mold-A-Rama machine, that is a pre-authorization charge. A pre-authorization is a hold on your account to ensure the transaction goes through after purchasing a Mold-A-Rama figurine. The actual charge is $5.00, and the hold should go away after a couple business days.

If I don’t live in the USA, do I have to pay a customs charge?2025-08-18T11:01:00-05:00

It depends on where you are located. By law we are required to value our items correctly and you are responsible to pay any duties collected by your local government.

We do not have international shipping listed in the checkout as we have to calculate shipping and custom charges for each order. If you are interested in our products but do no live in the United States, please reach out on our Contact Us page about what you want to order rather than placing one.

  • Make Venue Location “Mold-A-Rama Online Store’.
  • Please put (xx/xx/xxxx) Online Store :International Order as your ticket subject.
  • In the email body please put the products that you would like to purchase, as well as your address.

After confirming the final price we would sent a PayPal invoice to finalize the order. This is to prevent hidden fees from taxes and custom charges, so you know what you’re paying before purchasing the product.

Orders should ship within 2-3 business days unless specified. Once the product has been transferred to the carrier the timeline is out of our hands.

Mold-A-Rama Inc. is located in and ships from Brookfield, Illinois.

Our office and workshop are not open to the public. Our machines are available during the business hours of the location they run at.

  • Mark the Venue Location as “Mold-A-Rama Online Store”.
  • In the ticket subject please use the date you received the package, your order number, and a short description of  your orders issue.
  • please provide any detail about the issue here.

We will do our best to respond to the ticket in a timely manner, providing a phone number will help with response time.

A machine takes $5.00 in order to initiate a vend.

Most of our Mold-A-Rama machines take $5 and $1 bills as well as quarters, dimes, and nickels. We also have credit card readers that accept Apple Pay & Google Wallet.
*San Antonio & Memphis Zoo Mold-A-Rama machines are cashless.

Please go to the location listed below for the Venue you are currently visiting to report a problem or for immediate help with an issue you experienced:

  • Brookfield Zoo’s Guest Services.
  • Field Museum’s Visitor Services.
  • Henry Ford Museum’s Giant Screen Experience Ticket Booth.
  • Memphis Zoo’s Receptionist by Front Gates.
  • Milwaukee County Zoo’s Administration Office.
  • Museum of Science & Industry’s Information Desk.
  • San Antonio Zoo’s Guest Services at Front of Zoo.

Zoo or Museum staff should be able to direct you to those locations. The locations have resources to assist you, or they will notify us. If you have already left the Venue please fill out the form on the contact us page, and we will get back to you in a timely manner. Pictures will help expedite the process of refunds/exchanges.

With the exception of seasonal and holiday molds, we do not change mold sets often. We try to announce when a mold set is installed on our Facebook and Instagram.

The production of these machines ended in the mid 1960’s.

Due to insurance liabilities we do not offer tours.

We offer apparel and other collectibles such as enamel pins, stickers, and magnets on our online store.

No, we are not in the business of selling machines. We own and operate our machines in various locations.

Currently we do not offer the ability to rent our machines.
