The production of these machines ended in the mid 1960’s.
When you see a transaction for $5.50 after using a Mold-A-Rama machine, that is a pre-authorization charge. A pre-authorization is a hold on your account to ensure the transaction goes through after purchasing a Mold-A-Rama figurine. The actual charge is $5.00, and the hold should go away after a couple business days.
We have Mold-A-Rama machines at museums and zoos in 5 different states. You can find our current line-up of molds on the “Where can you find us” page.

A machine takes $5.00 in order to initiate a vend.
Currently we do not offer the ability to rent our machines.
